Muhammad b. Jubayr b. Mut‘im narrated from his father [Jubayr b. Mut‘imra], who said that, “Allah’s Messengersa said, ‘I have five names: I am Muhammad and Ahmad; I am al-Mahi [i.e., the eliminator], through whom Allah will eliminate disbelief; I am al-Hashir [i.e., the gatherer], at whose feet people will be gathered together; and I am al-‘Aqib [i.e., the most subsequent].’”
