A person approached the Promised Messiahas and enquired, “I have never observed a fast before; what should I pay as fidya?” The Promised Messiahas responded, “Allah does not impose a burden on any soul beyond its capacity. Pay the fidya for the missed fasts according to your ability, and resolve to observe all future fasts.”
