“A person who intentionally neglects prayers throughout the year with the intention of compensating on the day he has designated for qaza-e-‘umri is indeed sinful. However, an individual who repents with remorse and performs [the prayers] with the resolve to never forsake them again incurs no blame. In this regard, we merely echo the response of Hazrat Alira [that he was hesitant to forbid a person from performing prayers at an irregular time, citing his fear of violating the verse: ‘Hast thou seen him who forbids a servant (of Ours) when he prays?’ (Surah al-‘Alaq, Ch.96: V.10-11)].”
